MONOCHROME FASHION

Hello JOZA Readers,

The fact that I preach minimalism in terms of everything is because it reveals tiny details which always count.
Adopting a minimal life as I stated in my previous article on minimalism helps you achieve that simple and cozy life you have always needed and dreamed of. It also reduces indecision, risks of being a shopaholic and widens your view on available things around you that you didn't observe initially.
An aspect of achieving minimalism in terms of fashion is embracing the monochrome life
NB- You can never go wrong with monochrome.
The question is how can we achieve this? Here are five easy way to do that
  1. Re-visit your wardrobe: When I say embracing another aspect of life "MINIMALISM" I don't mean get ride of every single thing you have or get new ones but the idea is to sort out the needs from the wants and the let's just have it because its nice. The main point is to get ride of the later and you will be happy you did so. NB: Don't dispose the items you don't require anymore but give it out to charity, friends, fans or neighbors.
  2. Expose the available: This is achieved after you have gotten ride of the non-needs. it reveals the possibilities of the different items you have in stock.
  3. Make your choice: Since we are focusing on monochrome choose colors you love and you will be comfortable with. NB: Monochrome and minimalism go hand in hand but it doesn't entail neutral colors or black and white only. The dictionary defines monochrome as different shades of a single color. For instance I made choices of colors seen in the photos below.
  4. Embrace your choice: this involves being bold and confident in what you wear. If you are entertaining doubt about the choices you have made, Choose again until you get what you want.  NB: Entertaining doubt about what you wear often makes you look depressed when wearing them and I no you don't want to look that way.
  5. Stick to your style: The saying "Not everyone has a good sense of style" is wrong because peoples choice of style differs that's why its called style in the first place. So DON'T always dress to get someone's approval. Being happy with what you wear is what brings the approval. NB:Stylists are available to help you build up or harness your own sense of style and not theirs.
