HOW TO TIE A TURBAN WITH A SQUARE OR TRIANGLE SCARF

Hello Everyone,

My apologies to everyone that has waited for these video tutorial. I am sorry for the delay.

However, it’s here now, so let’s get to it.

Materials:

• Bun emulator (I used an old turban headwear)
• Scarf/head wrap
• Straight pins (optional)

STEPS:

1.     Get an emulator and create the bun.

2.    Wear the bun emulator and adjust it in place making the bun to be at the center of the head. This is essential in framing your face and forming a tail when needed.

3.    Push back the emulator to expose much of your ear and forehead.

4.    Fold the scarf: here, we are using a square scarf one of the difficult one to tie. Therefore, fold to form a triangle and double the fold as seen on the video.

5.    Place the straight end from the middle of the scarf on the head and from the center frame it on the face through the ear then to the back and cross.

6.    After crossing make sure the two tails are equal

7.    On one of the tail open the two ends and flip the tips inside to hide the ruffles.

8.    Place your hands on the hidden tips and wrap it over.

9.    Leaving a little distance from the first layer create more layers by dragging the scarf forward as seen on the video

10.  After creating the layers from one end to the other crossover again at the back.

11.   Repeat the same for the other tail but start directly were the layers stopped.

12.  Knot the remaining ends ad tight as you want,

13.  Bring out your earrings and push the scarf a bit back from your forehead

14.  Tuck in any remaining fold to reveal the bun and that’s it

TIPS:

•  if you don’t have any bun emulator you can improvise with any head gear like our everyday hairnet and put some clothes or socks in it to create a bun at the tail.
• This steps can be adopted in tying a triangle scarf
• When crossing do not tie to avoid reducing the scarf length

NOTE:

•  There is no need for a bun emulator if your hair can create a bun. (such as long braid, weaves or extensions).
• The folding of the scarf depends on the shape of the scarf
• The number of layers often depends on the length/size of the scarf.
